WORKING TITLE: Buyer/Planner DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain Management/ Operations BUSINESS: Power Electronics and Low/Medium Voltage Drives LOCATION: New Berlin, WI Support MV Drives Production related to customer on time delivery, inventory turns, and logistical costs. Place and manage orders for production and R&D materials appraise Production of any part shortages, provide daily communication until the shortage is resolved, and analyze shortage to implement corrective action. Under Direction of supply chain and MVD operations, set and manage inventory turns plan to meet agreed upon objectives, implement the plan, and monitor performance to plan and initiate changes as necessary. Develop and maintain agreements with vendors to ensure that all logistical details from forecast to payment are identified, the vendor has sufficient material and capacity to meet requirements, and that overall financial liability is identified. Under Direction of supply chain and MVD operations, measure vendor performance, and provide regular feedback to vendors and Sourcing. Promote the use of advanced transactions on line SCM tool ASCC. Review and ensure business system data integrity for materials, purchase orders, and vendors assigned. Soft Skills: Willing to work as an individual contributor and leader in a cross discipline matrix management structure Ability to motivate and engage shared resources to support the project as needed Good written and verbal communications skills, familiar with MS office tools. Requirements Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, or Production Management or a combination of education and experience. Experience with SAP generated Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Forecast, Shortage Reporting, etc desired.
