We currently have an opportunity for a Shipyard Production Manager at our Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin location.The Shipyard Production Manager will direct and coordinates the activities of all manufacturing departments in processing materials or manufacturing products in the industrial organization. These activities will include the preparation of operational schedules, reviewing production and operating reports and resolving any operational, manufacturing or maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Other essential responsibilities will be to review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as; types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations, plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products and develop or revise standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws.Additional tasks of the Shipyard Production Manager will be to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualified applicants are required to have a minimum of a high school diploma along with six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
