Details: Generally works with EPP Techs, Strippers and other platemakers in the Prepress Department. May work alone with limited supervision. Provides support service to the Pressroom. Under the direction of the Prepress supervisor, coordinates- Position requires reading of flat and mask labels from Strippers.- Exposes and processes plates and prepares administrative paperwork (labels) attached to plates.- Checks film for quality, marks and correct imposition.- Sends incorrect plates back to Stripping/EPP for correction.- Plates must be punched, processed, preserved, corrected and bent for the press cylinder clamp by the Platemaker II.- Maintains all plateroom equipment with operator level maintenance.- Performs other duties as directed including cross training as entry level EPP Technician or proofreader.- Makes proof, either blue lines or overlay color proofs and will produce contact
