Our Interior Systems Division  is looking for a PLC Engineer to work on a Division special Project at a centrally located suburb of Detroit, Michigan.   The role of the PLC/MES Engineer within a plant/ project is to "control systems" planning and implementation into production and/or changes to the manufacturing processes. The term "control systems" refers to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) of the plant. The main missions of the role are to: Developing "control systems" according to production requirements Develop and maintain PLC & Robot programs and MES methods Definition of the MES validation rules and MES controls used in the process, this includes the interaction between the automation controls (PLC) and the MES system. Develop plans for new products including manufacturing technologies and available alternatives, investment requirements, etc. Developing and implement "control system" schedules for each project Contributing to the company's continuous improvement efforts through valve analysis, maintain up to date knowledge of manufacturing "control systems" and develop process improvement opportunities Responsible for all changes to the "control systems" from Engineering changes Responsible for final approval of equipment "control systems" and turn over projects to manufacturing/production Maintaining good housekeeping standards Following all safety procedures
