Details: Specific Duties:Ensures Dart Container's goals specific to: Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee Development. Responsible for the fair and equal treatment of all employees and candidates with regard to all aspects of employment, regardless of any protected characteristics. Responsible for coordinating the efforts of all reports (Maintenance, Inspector/Packers, Operators, etc.) on the shift. Maintain attendance standards exceeding normal non-exempt guidelines and support vacation coverage when required. Responsible for coordinating with quality control and maintenance to ensure efficiencies and quotas are met. Responsible for taking daily attendance, scheduling personnel on specific lines, and coordinating lunch/rest breaks. Responsible for entering production data into the computer. Inspect product and sign quality control check sheets as required by the quality standards/procedures. Conduct bi-annual evaluations of employees. Maintain proper housekeeping. Lead weekly shift huddles with production staff. Monitor flake tank and dust collection levels. Inspect extruded sheet for quality standards and specifications. Coordinate safety orientation, training, and any retraining or certification classes with the safety department.Requirements and Qualifications:Good work history required. Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Require 2 years previous supervisory experience. Require 2 years previous mechanical experience or schooling equivalent. Require 2 years previous experience with basic hand tools.Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, ascend and descend ladders, kneel, and crouch to determine repairs needed to machinery.
